Guns N' Roses detained for gun possession at Canadian border
Guns N' Roses were detained for gun possession while travelling to a show in Canada last week, it has been revealed.
The recently reunited band played a concert at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Saturday night (July 16), with frontman Axl Rose telling the crowd at the gig that the band were stopped at the Canadian border ahead of the show.
Before playing 'Out Ta Get Me', Rose said, "We weren’t exactly arrested, we were detained." He went on to describe the customs officers as "very nice".
"They were very understanding. You know, it happens - you can forget you had a fuckin' gun," he said, before adding that it "wasn’t my gun."
A representative for the band later confirmed to Billboard that the incident occurred on Friday (July 15) and claimed that the gun did not belong to any member of the ban. via NME
