David Bowie's Art Collection Set for Exhibition, Auction
David Bowie's private art collection will be put on display around the world before heading to auction at Sotheby's in London in November, Reuters reports.
The "Bowie/Collector" three-part sale will feature approximately 400 items from the late musician's collection, which, in all, is expected to sell for over $13 million.
A selection of pieces set to be auctioned off is available to peruse on the Sotheby's website, while the full catalog is available to pre-order. Bowie's collection features works from contemporary luminaries such as Damien Hirst, Frank Auerbach, Henry Moore and Jean-Michel Basquiat, as well as sculptures, design furniture and a peculiar Sixties record player designed by Italian brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. via RollingStone
