Queer Art to See in NYC Right Now, From Félix González-Torres to Nan Goldin

Historically, dancefloors have been sites of resistance and healing for queer New Yorkers in moments of hatred, confusion, and violence. And following this weekend's tragedy in Orlando, they still very much continue to be. But in pursuit of quieter reflection, I often find myself at art galleries and museums. I'm not looking for looking for answers, but for questions, ideas, expressions, responses, eulogies, urgencies. Art helps me understand the varied historical and emotional experiences of my community, and my place within it. If you feel similarly, here are five shows on view in New York you might want to see this week. i-D
